Professional Bio
Doug Brunk is an award-winning reporter based in San Diego, with over 30 years of experience covering health and medicine. He has written for the health sciences division at Columbia University and served as associate editor at Contemporary Long Term Care Magazine, which won a Jesse H. Neal Award during his tenure. His work has been syndicated by the Los Angeles Times and he has authored three books related to the University of Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball program, with a fourth in the works. Doug also taught magazine journalism for 16 years at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, his undergraduate alma mater. He has a master’s degree in magazine journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
