I've been a freelance health and science writer since 2010. My writing has appeared in The Guardian, Science Careers, Undark, Scientific American, Medium and Next Avenue, among others. Lately I cover a lot of aging issues and policy for AARP, cancer research for Oncology News Central and biomedical advances for Chemical & Engineering News. I particularly enjoy writing news and feature stories and profile pieces that delve into infectious disease, mental health and nutrition topics. I also work with universities, research institutes and hospitals to create compelling stories about their goings-on for a range of audiences. I live in New York with my scientist husband, young daughter and two rescue cats.
